Agder
Energi AS is one of the largest energy groups in Norway in terms of
hydroelectric power production.
Through its
subsidiaries, Agder Energi is engaged in activities
and production in a number of different business areas.
Broad
range of these activities include hydroelectric power and wind power,
bioenergy, district heating, broadband, telephony and mobile
telephony, the power supply network for the whole of Agder, road and
tunnel lighting, energy economisation, power sales and insurance.
In
addition Agder Energi carries out engineering consultancy services,
installation, metering and invoicing, finance and power management,
as well as administrative services.
The
Agder Energi Group’s production and services are primarily
focused
on the southern region of Norway. However, the Group also supplies
products and services nationally and internationally in some business
areas.
Major
industrial force in the Agder counties with close to 1,000 employees
and with activities in both counties of Agder, the Agder Energi Group
is a major industrial force in the region. With more than 150,000
customers, the market company LOS has a considerable market share for
power sales in the counties of Agder.
The
distribution company has a licence for the region and manages more
than 18,000 kilometres of line network in Agder. The production
company has 30 own power stations in the watercourses in southern
Norway.
The
Group is undergoing a process of continuous industrial business
development, moving from the traditional energy sector to being an
industrial group, with customers throughout Norway.
Ownership
structure Agder Energi AS is owned by Statkraft Regional Holding AS
with an interest of 45.5 % and the 30 municipalities in Agder with a
total interest of 54.5 %.
